Insurance
Please be aware that we do not accept any insurance plans, Medicare, or Medicaid, although you can use your health savings account dollars at our practice. By not being dictated to by third-party billing, we are able to provide the personal, high-quality care we believe to be unmatched in Austin.

Established Patients
For after-hours emergencies, we have a practitioner on call during evenings and weekends. Medical questions or concerns during office hours are usually answered the same day by our Triage Nurse.

Established patients with an acute problem can usually be seen on the same day. Please call early in the day for availability with Elliot Trester, MD, and Kate Wanstrom, FNP. Lunch time appointments are available.

New Patients
Patient forms to complete prior to your first visit can be found here.

Upon your first visit, please be prepared to communicate to CFP your medical history, your family medical history, and your recent medication history.

New patients, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the appointment time. Downloading the forms and completing them before your visit is especially helpful to both you and CFP.

Prescription Refills
If your medication status is “Refills require authorization,” call your pharmacy and ask that they request a refill from CFP. Your pharmacy will fax your prescription to CFP for your practitioner’s approval.

Please call the pharmacy early in the day, if possible. We strive to refill prescriptions within 24 hours of receiving notification from your pharmacy (usually via fax).

Children’s Vaccines
Children may be brought in for vaccines during the lab hours below, as long as they have had a well-check within the past year. CFP uses only preservative-free vaccines.

STD Screening
CFP’s STD screening package is non-invasive (no Q-tips or speculums) and is done through blood and urine tests during our walk-in lab hours (see below). The package includes testing for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, HIV1, HIV2, Hepatitis B & Hepatitis C.

The package includes a follow-up consultation visit with one of our health care practitioners to receive and discuss your results.
